Product Description

Dulux Woodcare 2K PU sealer is an advanced performing 2-component polyurethane wood finish sealer specially formulated to enrich and protect wooden surfaces. It offers superior sealing properties eventually enhancing the luxurious finish for interior and exterior surfaces

Application Description

Mix 2 parts of Dulux Woodcare 2K PU Sealer with 1 part of 2K PU Hardener and dilute up to 15-20% with 2K PU Thinner. Apply 1-2 coats with spray and give 5 minutes intercoat flash-off time between successive coats.

Health & Safety

Highly flammable. Harmful by inhalation & in contact with skin. Keep out of reach of children. Do not breath solvent vapour/spray. Keep container in a well-ventilated place. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system & skin. Keep away from food, drink & animal feeding stuff. Contains Aromatic & Aliphatic solvents. Wear suitable protective clothing & gloves. Avoid contact with eyes & skin. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water & seek medical advice. Keep away from sources of ignition. No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Wear suitable protective equipment during sanding. Dry sanding of the dry paint film will give rise to paint and wooden dust, such type of surfaces should be sanded with wet sanding paper. If swallowed rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious) & show this container or label to a medical practitioner. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF, CO2 never use water. Very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Do not empty into drains. Dispose off any paint in accordance with the appropriate Environment Regulations. This container is only for paint use. Safety Data Sheet available for professional users on request.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or bare surfaces
    New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all defects. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper and then dust off. Apply 1 to 2 coats of Dulux 2K PU Sealer. Mix 2 parts Dulux 2K PU Sealer with 1 part of 2K PU Hardener. Dilute with Dulux 2K PU Thinner up to 15 - 20 %. Apply with spray. Scuff the area with suitable abrasive paper & then dust off after each coat.
    Previously painted sound surfaces
    Surface must be clean, dry & free from all defects. Rub down using suitable abrasive paper, dust off & wipe off. Apply 1 to 2 coats of Dulux 2K PU Sealer if required. Scuff the area with suitable abrasive paper & then dust off.
  • 2. Cleaning
    Clean all equipment with Dulux Woodcare 2K PU Thinner immediately after use.
  • 3. Storing
    Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
