Product Description

Dulux Weathershield 2G is a high quality, premium exterior paint that protects your home from damaging effects of all types of weather. It is powered with Smart Release Technology which gives advanced protection against algae and fungus that is caused by the sun and rain. Backed by a 6Y weather protection warranty, Dulux Weathershield also comes with Keep Cool Technology that reduces the surface temperature and keeps your homes cooler by 5 degrees.

Application Description

Apply 3-4 coats of Dulux Weathershield with 2-3 hrs of interval in between coats. Thinning ratio must be followed as per application procedure.

Health & Safety

Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher. Never use water. Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. When applying paint it is advisable to wear eye protection and suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart and seek medical advice. Remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Work only in areas of good ventilation. When using product inside, always keep doors and windows fully open during application and drying. A suitable cartridge mask should be worn when rubbing down. The product is harmful and if swallowed seek medical advice. Dry sanding, flame cutting and or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. Do not breathe vapour or sanding dust. Toxic by inhalation. If inhalation causes physical discomfort, move to fresh air. If discomfort persists or any breathing difficulty occurs seek medical advice and show container label. Care must be taken when transporting paint. Do not store by hanging on a hook. Protect from extremes of temperature. Store in a cool and dry place. In the event of an accident, collect spillage using sand or earth. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. It is very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environment quality regulations. Safety Data Sheet available for professional users on request. Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or bare surfaces: New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts.Scuff the surface with suitable sandpaper or sandstone to make the plaster surface smooth. Dust off throughly.For best results apply a single coat of Dulux Weathershield Crack Bridging Primer (refer PDS for correct application procedure). Let the surface to dry for 2-3 hrs. Fill the surface with Dulux Weathershield Putty (refer to PDS for correct application procedure). Scuff surface with suitable sandpaper & dust off. Previously painted sound surfaces: Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae with bleach. Scuff surface with suitable sandpaper and dust off. Powdery, dusty surfaces, cracks & other surface defects. Fix minor defects. For large holes and cracks, use sand and cement mixture. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by moulds, lichens and algae with bleach. Allow the surface to dry & prepare the surface as described above.
