Product Description

Dulux Promise Exterior Acrylic Emulsion is a highly durable, water-based emulsion paint. Its unique Anti-Peel formulation ensure that the paint film remains intact, and its extra Coverage Formula covers a longer area in the same quantity of paint.Chroma Brite UV Fight, keeps exterior wall colour looking fresh for longer. Easy to apply, this emulsion also protects against fungal and algal growth giving your home a beautiful look that lasts longer.

Application Description

Apply 3-4 coats of Dulux Promise Exterior Emulsion with 2-3 hrs of interval in between coats. Thinning ratio must be followed as per application procedure.

Health & Safety

Treatments such as sanding, burning off etc. of paint films may generate hazardous dust and/or fumes. Wet sanding/ flatting should be used wherever possible. Work in well ventilated areas. Use suitable personal protection equipment. Lift with care – gross weight exceeds 10kg Wear eye/ hand protection. Do not breathe vapors/spray. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Remove as much paints as possible from brushes and rollers before cleaning. Avoid release to the environment. Collect spillage. Keep away from food, drinks and animal feed. Store in a cool and shaded place. Container must be in a secure, upright position and be tightly closed. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of contact with skin wash immediately with soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners. Do not empty into water course. Safety data sheet available for professional/ user on request. May cause an allergic skin reaction. Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. Precautionary Statements Keep out of reach of children. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Call a POISON CENTER or doctor if you feel unwell. Dispose of contents and container in accordance with all local, regional, national or international regulations.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or bare surfaces New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Scuff the surface with suitable sandpaper or sandstone to make the plaster surface smooth. Dust off throughly. For best results apply a single coat of Dulux Exterior Crackbridging Primer (refer PDS for correct application procedure). Let the surface to dry for 2-3 hrs. Fill the surface with Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty (refer to PDS for correct application procedure). Scuff surface with suitable sandpaper & dust off.
    Previously painted sound surfaces Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae with bleach. Scuff surface with suitable sandpaper and dust off. Powdery, dusty surfaces, cracks & other surface defects Fix minor defects. For large holes and cracks, use sand and cement mixture. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by moulds, lichens and algae with bleach. Allow the surface to dry & prepare the surface as described above.
