Product Description
Dulux Prime-On is a solvent based sealer for interior and exterior masonry surface both new and previously decorated, such as brickwork, plaster and cement.
Application Description
Apply one coat of Dulux Prime On and leave for 16 hours to dry.
Health & Safety
Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition as product is flammable. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher. Never use water. Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Work only in areas of good ventilation. When using product Inside, always keep doors and windows fully open during application and drying. The product may cause rritation to eyes and skin. Contains COBALT CARBOXYLATE & METHYL ETHYLY KETOXIME, hence may produce an allergic reaction. When applying paint it is advisable to wear eye protection. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart and seek medical advice. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Wear gloves while working. In case of contact with skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Use suitable respiratory equipment while applying paint in narrow spaces. Dry sanding, flame cutting and or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. In case of insufficient ventilation during spraying wear suitable respiratory equipment, a suitable cartridge mask should be worn provided the filter is changed regularly. All respiratory equipment must meet an appropriate approved standard. Do not breathe vapour or sanding dust. If inhalation causes physical discomfort move to fresh air. If discomfort persists or any breathing difficulty occurs, move to fresh air and seek medical advice by showing container label. Harmful if swallowed seek medical advice immediately. Care must be taken when transporting paint. Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Store in a cool and dry place. In the event of an accident, collect spillage using sand or earth. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Very toxic to aquatic organisms. May cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environment quality regulations. Tips & Advice

1. Preparing the SurfacesNew or Bare Surfaces:
New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with bleach. After priming new surfaces with Dulux Prime On, dry over night, fill the surface with Dulux wall putty. Allow the putty to dry for 3-4 hours.
Previously Painted Surface:
Remove all loose, defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Spot prime and fill the surface as describe above if required.
Powdery, dusty and cracked surface:
Make good minor defects. For larger holes and cracks, use sand and cement mixture. Allow the surface to dry. Prime the surface and then fill any surface imperfections with Dulux wall putty. Allow to dry for 3-4 hours. Scuff surface using abrasive paper and dust off. -
2. CleaningClean all equipment with Mineral turpentine immediately after use
