Product Description

Dulux Exterior Crackbridging primer is a high quality exterior acrylic primer that is equipped with crack bridging technology which prevents top coat from hairline cracks. This high quality exterior primer also prevents top coat from peeling, alkali attacks and also provides excellent adhesion between coats.

Application Description

Apply 1 coat of Dulux Exterior Crackbridging Primer and leave for 2-3 hours.

Health & Safety

Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher. Never use water. Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. When applying paint it is advisable to wear eye protection and suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart and seek medical advice. Remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Work only in areas of good ventilation. When using product inside, always keep doors and windows fully open during application and drying. A suitable cartridge mask should be worn when rubbing down. The product is harmful and if swallowed seek medical advice. Dry sanding, flame cutting and or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. Do not breathe vapour or sanding dust. Toxic by inhalation. If inhalation causes physical discomfort, move to fresh air. If discomfort persists or any breathing difficulty occurs seek medical advice and show container label. Care must be taken when transporting paint. Do not store by hanging on a hook. Protect from extremes of temperature. Store in a cool and dry place. In the event of an accident, collect spillage using sand or earth. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. It is very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environment quality regulations. Safety Data Sheet available for professional users on request. Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New or Bare Surfaces:
    New surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from efflorescent salts. Scuff the surface with suitable abrasive paper or sandstone to make the plaster surface smooth and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae or moss with bleach. Apply a single coat of Dulux Weathershield Primer. Allow the primer to dry for 2-3 hours.

    Previously Painted Surface:
    Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Apply a single coat of Dulux Weathershield Primer. Allow the primer to dry for 2-3 hours.

    Powdry, Dusty and Cracked Surfaces:
    Make good minor defects. For larger holes and cracks use sand and cement mixture. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff fibre brush and dust off. Apply a single coat of Dulux Weathershield Primer. Allow the primer to dry for 2-3 hours.

    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use
