Product Description

Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty is a high quality exterior acrylic putty for masonry surfaces and brickwork. This putty is quick drying and easy to apply which leaves the walls with a smooth finish.

Application Description

Apply 1 coat of Dulux Exterior Acrylic Putty and leave for 2-3 hours.

Health & Safety

Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher. Never use water.Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. When applying paint it is advisable to wear eye protection and suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart and seek medical advice. Remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Work only in areas of good ventilation. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. When using inside, always keep doors and windows fully open during application and drying. A suitable cartridge mask should be worn when rubbing down. Harmful if swallowed; seek medical advice. Dry sanding, flame cutting and or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. Do not breathe vapour or sanding dust as product is toxic by inhalation. If inhalation causes physical discomfort, move to fresh air. If discomfort persists or any breathing difficulty occurs, seek medical advice and show container label. Care must be taken when transporting paint. Do not store by hanging on a hook. Protect from extreme temperatures. Store in a cool and dry place. In an event of an accident, collect spillage using sand or earth. Do not empty into drains or watercourses as product is very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Dispose off any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environment quality regulations. Safety Data Sheet available for professional users on request. The container is only for paint use.

Tips & Advice

  • 1. Preparing the Surfaces
    New Surfaces:
    New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Treat any area affected by mould, lichens, algae or moss with bleach. The surface should be completely dry and sound. Apply a sealing coat of Dulux Weathershield Primer. Fill the surface if necessary with Dulux Weathershield Wall Putty. Allow the putty to dry for 2-3 hours and apply second coat. Third coat is not recommended for exterior surfaces. After drying scuff the surface using abrasive paper and dust off. Do not leave the surface as such (without top coat) for a longer time.

    Previously Painted Surface:
    Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Prepare the surface using the same procedure as described above.

    Powdry, dusty and cracked surface:
    Remove all defective or poorly adhering material by rubbing down using a suitable abrasive paper or stiff brush and dust off. Prepare the surface using the same procedure as described above.

    Clean all equipment with clean water immediately after use.

    Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
