Be happy with bold shades of blue

In many cultures, the bluebird represents cheerfulness, prosperity and good health. The bird’s glossy sapphire feathers are a cleverly designed feat of nature – they disperse particles of sunlight to produce an intense blue effect, which explains their dazzling appeal. No wonder this beautiful creature is often dubbed the “Bluebird of Happiness!”

Try introducing the same deep blue tones into a neutral colour scheme by painting one wall a saturated shade of blue, such as ultramarine or cobalt, and adding touches of blue accessories to the room to mimic the vibrant multi-dimensional tones of the bluebird’s feathers. You could even look to the bird’s feathers for an inspiring colour scheme – think blue paired with snowy white, soft grey and flecks of caramel.
