Product Description

Dulux Weathershield Sun Reflect is a high quality 100% acrylic based emulsion paint for new and previously painted exterior masonry surfaces such as plaster and cement rendering.

Application Description

Apply 3-4 coats of Dulux Weathershield Sun Reflect and leave for 2-3 hours between coats.

Hazard warnings

Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from sources of ignition. In case of fire use foam, dry powder, AFFF or CO2 fire extinguisher. Never use water. Keep container tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage when not in use. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. When applying paint it is advisable to wear eye protection and suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water keeping eyelids apart and seek medical advice. Remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Work only in areas of good ventilation. When using product inside, always keep doors and windows fully open during application and drying. A suitable cartridge mask should be worn when rubbing down. The product is harmful and if swallowed seek medical advice. Dry sanding, flame cutting and or welding of the dry paint film will give rise to dust and or hazardous fumes. Wet sanding should be used wherever possible. If exposure cannot be avoided by the provision of local exhaust ventilation, suitable respiratory protective equipment should be used. Do not breathe vapour or sanding dust. Toxic by inhalation. If inhalation causes physical discomfort, move to fresh air. If discomfort persists or any breathing difficulty occurs seek medical advice and show container label. Care must be taken when transporting paint. Do not store by hanging on a hook. Protect from extremes of temperature. Store in a cool and dry place. In the event of an accident, collect spillage using sand or earth. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. It is very toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate environment quality regulations. Safety Data Sheet available for professional users on request. Preparing the Surfaces
New or Bare Surfaces: New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry and free from efflorescent salts. Scuff the surface with a suitable sandstone to make the plaster surface smooth. Dust off thoroughly. For best results a single coat of Dulux Weathershield Primer. Let the surface dry for 2-3 hrs. Fill the surface with Dulux Weathershield Putty. Scuff surface with a suitable sand paper and dust off. Previously Painted Surface: Remove all loose, defective paint and powdery residues by thorough brushing or scraping using a stiff fibre brush and dust off. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with bleach. Scuff surface with a suitable sand paper and dust off. Powdry, dusty and cracked surface: Make good minor defects. For larger holes and cracks use sand and cement mixture. Remove all loose, defective paint and powdery residues by thorough brushing or scraping using a stiff fibre brush and dust off. Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens, algae and moss with bleach. Allow the surface to dry and prepare the surface as described above.

Cleaning
Clean all equipment with water immediately after use

Storing
Store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
